Freedom For Christmas...
I spent four glorious days at grandma's without having to go near the pee monster. Mom took me a whole day early and left me a whole day after she was gone. Yeah, the yeti was there for Christmas eve and Christmas day, but I did not even see her.
I was able to explore outside and chat with all the critters. Grandpa's squirrels are now morbidly obese, since he feeds them peanuts and seeds upon request. They waddle right up to the back door and take their food right out of his hand. I was very nice and did not chase them at all. I guess it was my holiday spirit.
I was able to spend copious amounts of time crammed behind the computer desk where I slept and snored to my hearts content.
There was a new kind of food that they feed the hissing slasher, and I did not have to take any Cosequin for my arthritis.
They even had a big ole' tree in the house. I seem to remember a time when my mother always decorated the house for the Christmas season. The last few years she has been "too busy" with work and school. Please, it is only her pure laziness that causes us poor little critters to have no Christmas cheer in our house.
I had a wonderful holiday, but mom says I was very obstinate and did not spend one waking moment with her. That is because I was still very hurt, by her lack of spirit and utter lapse in memory.
See, she was so busy with school and having no electricity that she completely forgot that she adopted me the 17th of December in 1995. Thanks so much for remembering you old hag.
In spite of her senility, I will show my first day with mom celebrating Christmas...

Proof my mother was once a jolly human. Despite her crankiness, I was one happy cat this year. I hope everyone else enjoyed their Christmas celebrations as well.
