We Can See...Well, Except Angel...
Thank goodness, PGE has our electricity up and running. We were hit hard by the big scary storm that flew through the Pacific Northwest. Around our neighborhood, there were trees uprooted and electric poles with wires down everywhere.Poor mom was trying her hardest to finish up her finals and research papers, but the storm hit and we went dark. The battery on the computer finally ran out and she attempted to write by candle light, but it was just too hard.
Grandma came and saved us around midnight Friday, but do you know what mom did. She left Angel and I here to freeze all alone in the dark.
Well, she actually came back around 3 am and saved us. We were both fast asleep and toasty warm in our beds. Grandma needed to get up real early for work so mom decided to let grandma go to bed and she would come back alone and pack us up.
Mom finished her classes, immediately crawled into bed, and actually slept for 17 hours straight. We were starving and near death, but no amount of crying woke her up.
Finally, the smoke detector did the trick. No, Angel and I did not burn down the house, the battery was running out, so it kept chirping real loud.
She awoke, gave us tons of yummy food, and tucked me away in the closet for a nice nap. All is well and back to normal.

im glad yoor lectricity iz bak on and yoo is safe an warm.
Wow, that's kinda scary. Don't PGE know we puddins NEED lectricity? Wifout lectricity, our fountain would stop an our beans wouldn't be sittin in front of the puters or tv, providin laps. Dark cat + white towels = nice job! Mom STILL leafs her black clothes out fur me to sleep on.
Glad that the power is back on. No power is not good. Houses get cold without power.
the title of this post cracks me up.
I heard about the power outage. That's terrible. How long were you without?
We hate to say it, Sahara, but in times like this, Angel might actually come in handy to you. Still we're glad that storm is over as well as your Mom's classes before you had to find out for sure.
Hadn't she found any other place to sleep? LOL!!
And hey, just check out this post on kitties in a holiday mood. I hope u'll like it..
merry xmas
bye.
Checking in on you, and I'm so glad to see your power is back on. Your Mommy will be much more attentive now that classes are done. I'm sure it felt like near death when you couldn't wake her, but you will (and did) live. I know that this would be the furthest thing from your mind, but you might actually consider cuddling with the other one in dire times. Doesn't mean you love it...just using it for body warmth, lol! Sahara, you always make me smile. I'm so glad you are around.
