Freedom For Christmas...

I spent four glorious days at grandma's without having to go near the pee monster. Mom took me a whole day early and left me a whole day after she was gone. Yeah, the yeti was there for Christmas eve and Christmas day, but I did not even see her.

I was able to explore outside and chat with all the critters. Grandpa's squirrels are now morbidly obese, since he feeds them peanuts and seeds upon request. They waddle right up to the back door and take their food right out of his hand. I was very nice and did not chase them at all. I guess it was my holiday spirit.

I was able to spend copious amounts of time crammed behind the computer desk where I slept and snored to my hearts content.

There was a new kind of food that they feed the hissing slasher, and I did not have to take any Cosequin for my arthritis.

They even had a big ole' tree in the house. I seem to remember a time when my mother always decorated the house for the Christmas season. The last few years she has been "too busy" with work and school. Please, it is only her pure laziness that causes us poor little critters to have no Christmas cheer in our house.

I had a wonderful holiday, but mom says I was very obstinate and did not spend one waking moment with her. That is because I was still very hurt, by her lack of spirit and utter lapse in memory.

See, she was so busy with school and having no electricity that she completely forgot that she adopted me the 17th of December in 1995. Thanks so much for remembering you old hag.

In spite of her senility, I will show my first day with mom celebrating Christmas...

Proof my mother was once a jolly human. Despite her crankiness, I was one happy cat this year. I hope everyone else enjoyed their Christmas celebrations as well.

We Can See...Well, Except Angel...

Thank goodness, PGE has our electricity up and running. We were hit hard by the big scary storm that flew through the Pacific Northwest. Around our neighborhood, there were trees uprooted and electric poles with wires down everywhere.

Poor mom was trying her hardest to finish up her finals and research papers, but the storm hit and we went dark. The battery on the computer finally ran out and she attempted to write by candle light, but it was just too hard.

Grandma came and saved us around midnight Friday, but do you know what mom did. She left Angel and I here to freeze all alone in the dark.

Well, she actually came back around 3 am and saved us. We were both fast asleep and toasty warm in our beds. Grandma needed to get up real early for work so mom decided to let grandma go to bed and she would come back alone and pack us up.

Mom finished her classes, immediately crawled into bed, and actually slept for 17 hours straight. We were starving and near death, but no amount of crying woke her up.

Finally, the smoke detector did the trick. No, Angel and I did not burn down the house, the battery was running out, so it kept chirping real loud.

She awoke, gave us tons of yummy food, and tucked me away in the closet for a nice nap. All is well and back to normal.

I'm A Reindeer...

Saw this on Skeezix's site and thought I would finally try one of these "tests"...

You Are Donner

The most loveable and sweet reindeer, you're also a total dork!

Why You're Naughty: You keep (accidentally) tripping the yeti pee monster while she walks.

Why You're Nice: You're always smiling, even if you've fallen flat on your hairy ass.
